Why don't you wear make up?
Anonymous

My mom doesn’t wear makeup, so I was never around it as a kid. That has a lot to do with it. I wore eyeliner a couple times in middle school. It was annoying to put on, felt weird, looked stupid, and was hard to wash off, so I got over that curiosity pretty quickly. As I got older it became more of a matter of principle. I don’t want to support an industry that thrives off of making people hate how they look and ashamed of their bodies’ natural state. I’ve always been confused hearing people say they can’t go out or let anyone, especially their partners, see them without makeup. Besides, makeup is totally pointless, expensive, and most of it is tested on animals.
